A short bus ride on the 200E bus will take you to the airport train station (Ferihegy Airport Station) where you can catch a train to Szeged. There is no need to go into Central Budapest. Train tickets are not available for purchase at Terminal 2. However, the Hungarian state railway company MÁV operates a domestic ticket office at the Ferihegy train station every day from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In addition, train tickets can also be purchased from the ticket machines located on the platforms and from the on-board conductor. Inter City trains run on Budapest-Cegled-Kecskemet-Szeged line in every hour from 5:53 am to 20:53 pm with two classes: Normal and Intercity, the latter required an additional ticket (360 HUF) and offers a nicer seat with air-conditioning. There may be also wifi on the train.
Alternatively, there are also direct Szeged shuttle bus services (Pegazustransfer or Zöldtranszfer) from the airport direct to your hotel in Szeged.
